Aseul had us hypnotised with her dreamy and lonely new cut “Joke”

The Seoul-based indie pop singer-songwriter and also producer Aseul, has published her first new track after published her must-listen 2018’s album Asobi, with a daydreaming new track about love and but also loneliness.

In “Joke”, Aseul is harmfully waiting for a call from her lover; a call that she will sadly never receive. About the self-produced track, Aseul spoke about it on The 405:

“The lyrics are what I’ve been through. He didn’t answer the phone. Lonely and lonely. and I usually say ‘I don’t believe in love’… as if I’m joking in a smile. I think love is anxious, miserable, beautiful and sad.”
