Seven years after her last concert in London with the unforgettable ‘Femme Fatale Tour’, Britney Spears is back at the UK with her 5-years old and hugely successful residency ‘Piece of Me’.
A show created to inverse the audience in a madness atmosphere of pop hits and memories. You are not only going to a concert, but you are also reviving your whole life through Britney’s songs. It doesn’t matter if is ‘…Baby One More Time’, ‘Oops!… I Did It Again’, ‘Womanizer’, ‘Stronger’, ‘Toxic’ or the whole setlist, your life is linked to Spears’ career whatever you like it or not.
Despite the horrible sound quality of the O2 Arena, the live production of the songs goes off live and becoming one of the highlights of the show. The killer final act with ‘Toxic’, ‘Stronger’, ‘You Drive Me Crazy’ and ‘Till The World Ends’ will blow your mind in every way possible.
Britney’s attitude during the whole concert was energetic, and it seems that she was getting her life with the UK audience. There are some incredibly great dancing moments like ‘I’m a Slave 4 U’, ‘Work Bitch’, ‘Break the Ice’ and Glory’s new added tracks ‘Clumsy’ and ‘Change Your Mind’. But it was sad that they decided to cut ‘Touch Of My Hand’ and ‘Slumber Party’ for this show too, there were two of the best performances of the show.
‘Piece of Me’ is not the most outstanding show ever done by any pop star or even by Britney (‘The Circus Starring Britney Spears’ is her Magnus opus of production and show creativity). But it’s an unforgettable life experience of pop music celebration. A religious experience that will make you happier and stronger than yesterday. Britney Spears is an icon, and whatever you like it or not, she will make you have the time of your life.
It’s Britney, bitch!
