December is one of the best months musically, there’s always the last bang for an artist to destroy all these anticipated lists of Best Of 2017 with an extremely good album. This year Charli XCX has every chance to get this honour with her new mixtape “POP2” out on December 15th.
There’s a lot huge name from the music industry in this new record, to name a few we have: Carly Rae Jepsen, Caroline Polachek, Brooke Candy, Pabllo Vittar, CupcakKe, Dorian Electra, Mykki Blanco, Tommy Cash, Kim Petras, Jay Park and MØ.
Also, she has collaborated with Tove Lo and Alma in a PC-Music pop fantasy inspired track “Outta My Head” in which Charli XCX’s vocal presence is so low. And that’s the other point of this mixtape “POP2” which is a piece of work to show the skills of Charli XCX as a composer, producer and music curator more than her quality as a singer. And for the record, we all know that she has an incredible music taste that a lot of labels would kill to make her one of their A&R.
I almost forget, there’s a secret track on this album that’s expected to be a huge collaboration with a pop star, so it’s time for the crazy twitter confabulations begin.
